German Bond Yields Ease After Recent Rise

German government bond yields edged lower on Friday after climbing to multi-year highs earlier this week. The benchmark 10-year Bund yield slipped to 3.15%, while the two-year yield fell to 2.771%.

Bond markets have come under pressure in recent sessions following the Federal Reserve's latest policy decision, rising energy prices, and stronger-than-expected economic data from the euro area. The Fed kept interest rates unchanged but provided limited guidance on future policy, while recent inflation data from Germany and Spain reinforced expectations that the European Central Bank may keep policy restrictive.

German 10-year yields rose by around 30 basis points during July, reaching their highest level in about 15 years before easing on Friday.

Investors are also awaiting the Eurozone's preliminary July inflation data, with recent national figures suggesting price pressures remain elevated.

Market participants will continue monitoring inflation data and central bank communications for further policy signals.
