WTI Breaks Above $93: Can Oil Push Higher?

WTI crude is moving higher again.

The U.S. benchmark has climbed above $93 a barrel, up around 1.1% on the day, as uncertainty over the U.S.-Iran conflict keeps supply risks firmly in focus.

The latest move comes as hopes for a quick ceasefire remain fragile. Iran is still seeking conditions for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, while the U.S. has rejected Tehran's latest proposal. Although talks may continue, there is still no clear timeline for a deal.

What Could Push Oil Higher?

The key risk remains the Strait of Hormuz.

If negotiations fail and disruptions to oil flows persist, the supply premium in crude could build further. Brent has already moved above $106, showing how quickly the market can react to changes in geopolitical risk.

But there is also a potential ceiling.

Oil exports from major Middle Eastern producers have recovered to around 12.8 million barrels per day, the highest level since February. If supply continues to normalize and diplomatic progress resumes, some of the geopolitical premium could unwind.

For USOIL, $93 is now back in focus. A sustained move above this level could keep the recent rally going, while any meaningful progress on reopening Hormuz could quickly take some heat out of the market.
