Bitcoin rose 1.6% to US$66,342.60 on Tuesday, reaching its highest level since June 15, as two consecutive weeks of spot Bitcoin ETF inflows pointed to renewed institutional participation despite ongoing geopolitical tensions involving the United States and Iran.
Three developments are supporting the recovery:
ETF inflows strengthen: Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of US$75.7 million and US$197.4 million over the past two weeks, according to data compiled by SoSoValue. The inflows indicate renewed institutional interest following earlier market declines.
Geopolitical uncertainty remains: Military exchanges between the United States and Iran continued for a tenth consecutive day, while developments affecting the Strait of Hormuz remained in focus. Reports of renewed diplomatic efforts have also provided some signs of potential de-escalation, although regional tensions continue.
Altcoins followed Bitcoin higher: Ether gained 1.1% to US$1,924.44, while XRP rose 2.9%. Solana, BNB, Cardano and Dogecoin also posted gains, reflecting broader strength across major digital assets during the session.
Market outlook
Market participants are expected to continue monitoring spot Bitcoin ETF flows alongside geopolitical developments, both of which have remained important factors influencing sentiment in digital asset markets. Broader macroeconomic conditions and developments in energy markets may also continue to affect overall risk appetite.
