EUR/USD Under Pressure: Is 1.1450 the Next Test?

EUR/USD is starting the week on the defensive, with the pair trading around 1.1475 after falling to its lowest level since late July.

The technical picture remains bearish. EUR/USD is trading below its short- and medium-term moving averages, while the RSI has slipped to around 35, showing that selling pressure has intensified.

The key level now is 1.1457, where the pair is testing its 200-day SMA. A decisive break below this area could expose the next downside levels around 1.1426 and potentially 1.1350, according to the latest technical analysis.

On the upside, EUR/USD would first need to reclaim 1.1486 to ease the immediate selling pressure. A stronger recovery above 1.1529–1.1546 would provide a more convincing signal that the recent pullback is losing momentum.

What Could Move EUR/USD Next?

Beyond the charts, traders are watching geopolitical risks, the US dollar outlook and comments from ECB President Christine Lagarde for fresh direction.

For CFD traders, the setup is straightforward: 1.1457 is the level to watch on the downside, while 1.1486 and 1.1529 are the first hurdles on any rebound.

With EUR/USD sitting close to a major technical level, the next break could determine whether this is simply a pullback — or the start of a deeper move lower.
