Gold’s decline is showing little sign of slowing.
After another sharp selloff, spot gold has fallen toward $4,000, putting the metal near its lowest level in more than two months. Higher oil prices and concerns that interest rates could stay elevated for longer have added to the pressure.
The key level now is $4,000.
Holding above it could give gold some room to stabilize, but a bounce alone would not mean the selloff is over. Gold would need to recover toward $4,075–$4,100 before the short-term picture starts to improve.
If $4,000 breaks decisively, the correction could extend further, with the $3,960–$3,985 area coming into focus.
Gold can still rebound, but for now sellers remain in control. The next move around $4,000 may tell us whether buyers are finally ready to step back in.
